I would highly recommend this internship with ABROADER for my friends or anyone who is interested in doing an IT internship in Vietnam. My IT Internship was done at Global Cybersoft in Ho Chi Minh City, Global CyberSoft (GCS) is a leading global IT solutions provider founded in California. With extensive experiences and rich expertise, GCS poses as a major IT pioneer and trusted partner in Vietnam. The first team I was with (Business Analysis Team) went out of their way to give me responsibilities that challenged me to learn, and provided help for me to learn how to do these tasks, I felt my work on the Business Analysis team was important, and I made a significant contribution as an intern. Next, I was moved to programming team which I felt I did not have as much training compared to the first one. Given that the company was not used to having an intern like me, they did a good job giving me responsibilities that would help me learn. My supervisor was the local team manager and he helped me a lot during work and cared about my well-being. Among many concerns one has when deciding to do an internship, for me, the most important part was having as much help as possible getting into contact with prospective companies, and further set up with a bank account, etc. and felt very satisfied with the services provided by ABROADER concerning these procedures. The most helpful improvement would have been a more timely completion of all the steps so that there is the largest choice of companies to choose from, and one can prepare as soon as possible.

Incredible experience! Would recommend It was an incredible experience and made something valuable out of the difficult situation of Covid-19. I learned so much about Vietnam and was able to connect with a bunch of peers in Vietnam. It was also a great social outlet during a remote internship which can feel isolating sometimes. I am so thankful for all the support Abroader provided and all the work they put into making a really great program. If you are doing a remote internship or looking to learn more about vietnam, this program is perfect for you. What is your advice to future travelers on this program? Be engaged and talk during the zoom meetings! You'll only get out of it what you are willing to put into it!

I am so incredibly lucky that I have people and things that make saying goodbye to Hanoi incredibly difficult. For if I did not have them, that would have meant I wasted nearly three months internship in Vietnam. I was able to make friends, experience the culture, learn a little Vietnamese in the process; all those things became part of me and make it that much more difficult to say farewell to them.

My internship in Vietnam with ABROADER was a life changing experience. I was a marketing intern at a travel company in Hanoi and now work for the same company as a full time employee. Being in Vietnam has taught me so much about different people and cultures, as there are many other foreigners working here as well from all over the world. My internship coordinator at ABROADER was so helpful, and was a huge support for me whenever I needed it. I would definitely recommend ABROADER if you are looking to do an internship here. They really cater to your needs and care about what you want and are looking for.

What a trip! From day one right until the finish every day was something new. Facilitated by the local buddies and our dedicated, hard-working Program Coordinator Duy, our experience abroad was invaluable and allowed us to experience Vietnam and its culture in a way that would have definitely been impossible without them. Industry visits were super interesting and something which never occurs when studying courses 'traditionally'. These definitely gave me an insight into how and where I might be applying my trade upon graduation. Overall the trip was quite affordable too, especially considering we were away for a whole month. This was an unforgettable experience and I would recommend this type of program to anyone for which it is available.

Vietnam, from my experience, is a very work-oriented and relationship-oriented country. You must come prepared to work a lot, learn a lot, and you absolutely must not try to apply the logic or expectation that you would have in the West. This will do little to nothing to help you and will hinder your ability to learn. Come here with the mindset of a student, not an authoritative figure. There is much to learn in Vietnam that will be very valuable to you wherever you work or live, and it is important that you come to Vietnam with an open and unexpecting mind, so that when you go home you will have been able to learn, enjoy and apply your experiences to your future in a positive way. Come to Vietnam with the ability to motivate and add value to people’s lives. Set an example for people, and remember that you are at all times representing you country, university and culture, so make an impression that will stand out as a positive one. Make friends as much as possible and when you can try to study the language as much as possible, even if it is just the language that relates to your job. Doing these two basic things will make living and working here quite enjoyable.

ABROADER helped me come to Vietnam, they found an internship for me, found work so I can learn about agriculture, organized my arrival, accommodation, first days guidance, sight-seeing, excursions, gave recommendations how to live and react in certain situations, gave me lessons about their language, welcomed me as I never could imagine and more. Simply said, their service was excellent. Like others have said, after coming to Vietnam they were available all the time and offered help with anything. Right now I can’t imagine how I could manage this alone. I was so amazed how fast they did things at ABROADER and how organized they were. I must confess at first I didn’t expect this. I have experience with similar organizations in Europe and I must write how great ABROADER was compared to them. But, this is not everything. After I came to Hanoi I also heard about this organization’s background. For them it is not just about making money. Because many students from Vietnam can’t afford traveling to other countries, ABROADER actually helps them learn about other cultures and languages. They directly cooperate with students. So, with coming here I didn’t just help myself, I also helped others to gain more knowledge. And getting a local buddy is also an excellent idea. You can never learn so much about the foreign country if you travel as a tourist. You have to become part of it, then you can learn about the real culture. Your local buddy helps you do this and in the end you might even find a new friend, like I did. I made many new good friends. In general, you might think that internship with ABROADER will bring you more knowledge and experience in your profession. It will, because they really search for the best possible internship position. But you can’t imagine how much other experience you also gain just by crossing the street or ordering food, being independent here. And be part of them. I won’t be writing how beautiful this country is, how friendly people are and how good the food is, you will just have to come here and find out by yourself. :) Thank you ABROADER!

I have always been an extremely shy person, when I was small, my face would turn red and I even cried in front of people. Now that I’m a grown up, I want to become more confident, make friends and talk with them like other people do after one-month internship here in Vietnam.

I feel pretty satisfied with my internship journey as it increased my self confidence and my ability to cope with unfamiliar situations. It also further developed my interpersonal communication skills when working with co-colleagues. I did my internship in Chemizol/Culligan Water Vietnam under the supervision and guidance of Chris, who is a very nice person and always cares about me. Besides that, my internship in Vietnam has expanded my curiosity of the world and at the same time gained a greater understanding of my home cultural identity. I wish I could have more time to go to different factories so that I could contact customers and analyze samples. Overall, my 6-week internship is so great!

My experience as a virtual intern was amazing! I and other interns were provided with many creative and engaging cultural activities. In our learning sessions about Vietnamese culture, we were always encouraged to share our own cultures with others which showed us that despite our differences, we have many similarities. My favorite activity in this internship was our cultural workshops, where we learned about Vietnamese traditions, cuisines, drinking culture, and work culture. We were also able to have a virtual cooking lesson and learned how to make Vietnamese Spring Rolls, which was fantastic to watch and to eat in my own home. I also enjoyed meeting and interacting with the local buddies during our workshop sessions. We created a group chat where we shared pictures of food and nature, which influenced us to have many great conversations about our lives. Being a virtual intern in this program showed me that we can continue to build and have relationships with people, beyond the barriers of a pandemic and living in different countries. I have learned to value my time and relationships with my new friends in Vietnam, and I feel that I will always have this community of friends who will support me in my life and career. Joining this remote internship has been one of the most positive and lovely experiences that I have had during the pandemic. This experience has motivated me to travel to Vietnam in the future. I can’t wait to experience the wonderful Vietnam and Vietnamese culture, and to finally meet my wonderful friends in person. Thank you so much to the site team and the local buddies for all of your love and support through my internship. Cảm ơn!!
